Whew! That was close...
We had another earthquake today, about an hour ago. I love this US Geological Survey site, already they've got information up! This one was a lot closer, although not as strong as the Kanazawa quake about a month ago. It felt stronger here, though. Apparently, the epicentre was only about 70km to the west of here, with a magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter scale. Once again, I watched my light fixture swinging around and listened to my windows rattling. I thought about going for a doorway, but by then it was over. There was a smaller one earlier this morning, too, at about 8:30, but barely noticeable - if I'd been sleeping, I doubt I would have woken up. Just one more thing that makes Japan an exciting country to live in... ;)
